ALK Abello' Source Materials, Inc., (ASM) a leading manufacturer of quality allergenic biological source materials, is recruiting for our open Quality Control Supervisor position. Join our rapidly growing company and help provide solutions for people with allergy worldwide.

The QC Supervisor is responsible for providing effective leadership and promoting a great working environment in a high performing organization. The position requires the ability to communicate clear expectations for goals and behavior, and the ability to plan, organize, and delegate work to the right people. QC Supervisors are responsible for prioritizing and supervising workflows to meet operational targets, and solving issues when they occur. They must have the ability to listen to and recognize needs of direct reports, respecting and developing their expertise to deliver quality products according to customer and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have a BS or advanced degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field, and a minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience working in a manufacturing or analytical laboratory environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Pharmaceutical industry knowledge and experience validating analytical methods and equipment are highly preferred. Candidates must have the ability to work within ALK quality systems and regulated environments such as FDA, OSHA, USP and European Authority . Success in this role requires broad understanding of laboratory operations and analytical methods, but recent bench experience is not essential. Experience with SAP and/or LIMS is a plus.

All positions at ASM require the ability to work safely around insect venoms, allergens, hazardous chemicals, and other laboratory reagents with appropriate personal protective equipment.
