Springs Fabrication is hiring a QA Testing Engineer for Fabrication Department as a Full-Time job in Westminster, CO.

As a Certified Level II Inspector , your primary responsibility is to plan, secure procedures and materials and implements testing on products for acceptance. This includes Leak testing using Mass Spectrometer or Residual Gas Analyzer in the tracer Probe mode; Leak testing using other media (e.g., gas or fluids), and other testing. While waiting for parts to be completely fabricated and become available for testing, the selected candidate must also be able to support other Quality Inspection activities. For example, FAT, Visual, PT, Receiving, etc.

SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • Must be proficient in the testing and inspection practices for which qualified.
  • Ability to utilize MSLT testing equipment and hand-held measurement tools, e.g, .calipers, micrometers, bore gages, steel rule, tape measure, etc.
  • Must be proficient in the interpretation of drawings and specifications.
  • Must have a proficient understanding of quality documentation.
  • Must be proficient with using computers..


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Qualified as an MS Level II leak tester

  • Inspection Experience - 3 years for HS/GED; 2 years for Associate's Degree; 1 year for Bachelor's Degree
  • Manufacturing Experience - 6 years for HS/GED; 3 years for Associate's Degree; 2 years for Bachelor's Degree

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must pass a visual acuity test per ASME and AWS which requires the reading of a Jaeger 1 chart and identifying/distinguishing specific colors from one another.
