Purchasing - Warehouse Clerk

Operational since 2001, Dakota Ethanol in Wentworth, SD produces more than 90 million gallons of ethanol annually. The company also produces distillers grains and non-food grade corn oil, providing a feed source for local livestock producers or the biodiesel industry. What you get to do!

The Purchasing - Warehouse Clerk is responsible for purchasing, record keeping and inventory control for the parts and supplies needed for the operations and maintenance of the facility. M-F, 7:00am-4:00pm.

What you do!

• Generating Purchase orders for spare parts, materials and contract work.
• Properly document all goods received and shipped.
• Replenish label and stock spare parts, etc into the proper locations.
• Filing; organize office; data entry into the plant CMMS.
• Order replacement parts as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
• Seek competitive pricing for the best value for goods and services.
• Maintain housekeeping and perform safety audits as assigned.
• Transfer documents to the proper departments.
• Complete any and all tasks assigned by Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain a team environment with other plant departments.
• Safe work practices are a condition of employment; complies with all OSHA and safety requirements.
• Must be able to take direction and work well with others.
• Must be able to work under the stress of deadlines.
• Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately.
• Must be react to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.

What you need!

• Experience with computers and basic office skills.
• Some experience with bookkeeping procedures, packing slips, purchase orders etc.
• Must have above average typing skills and be proficient using MS word and excel; with the ability to learn CMM software within 30 days
• Must be able to: manage confined space entry, climb ladders and stairs, lift and move up to 60 lbs., work at heights, adapt to 12 hour shifts, and meet call-in requirements as needed.

• Work Environment: Regularly exposed to dust, odors, fumes, noise, and temperature variations.
