Sofidel America of Horsham, PA is currently seeking a Purchasing Process Control Assistant. We are searching for a dynamic candidate that is local to the area and is looking for a long-term role in a stable, thriving environment. Your expertise will make you an important part of our team!

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Give the project team regular updates on the status of purchase orders and payments.
  • Compare the cash flow variation to the budget.
  • Ensure that project costs are allocated correctly, in collaboration with the accounting department.
  • Collect data and determine the most effective way to control the project's KPIs.
  • Archive project-related documentation.
  • Create reports outlining the evaluation of the Group Purchasing office's performance.
  • Manage operating activities in the purchasing process.
  • Set up training for anyone working in the purchasing process.
  • Assist in the implementation of technical improvements to the purchase process.
  • Assist in preparations of procedures needed to ensure the correct management of the purchasing process.
  • Manage and address any concerns or problems that are brought up or discovered in relation to the purchasing process.
  • Assist the Purchasing Process Controller to resolve issues relating to the purchasing process.
  • Support the management of the plants' spare parts warehouse.
  • Examine the layout of the spare parts warehouses to ensure the stock's rationalization.
  • Ensure cooperation and routine exchange of information between the spare parts warehouses.
  • Support users in using SAP transactions to manage the flow of spare parts.
  • Provide routine training for employees who are involved in the management flow of the spare parts warehouse.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management or equivalent business experience is preferred.
  • 3+ years’ Purchasing and Customer Service experience in a manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organization skills with ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Customer service – internal and external.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
