Hampton County
Public Works Director
Under limited supervision, supervises, plans, and directs the activities of the Public Works department in order ensure the proper maintenance of Hampton County roads, Solid Waste, and Building and Grounds. Oversees department budget and the maintenance of department equipment. Directs and / or participates in road construction and maintenance tasks. Reviews work subordinates for completeness and accuracy. This class reports to the County Administrator.
Qualifications
Requires three to five years of progressively responsible experience in construction, public works, engineering and/ or heavy equipment operation or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
