Job description
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with secondary students preferred.
- Current, within one year, police, child abuse, & FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
- Applicants will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of basic skills in high school academics and the career and technical programs.
- Must have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team in an educational setting.
- Assisting the Teacher:
- Preparing instructional materials.
- Maintaining discipline and other behavior management functions.
- Arranging the learning environment.
- Assembling, adjusting, and maintaining equipment and technology used in the instructional program.
- Administering educational assessments.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Assisting with Students:
- Working with individual students or small groups on activities assigned by the teacher.
- Assisting, within the constraints of specific program regulations, in the supervision of students during non-instructional times throughout the day such as lunchtime, entering or exiting the building, etc.
