Psychotherapist Job Description

Mind Muse is currently looking to fully licensed psychotherapists (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC), to conduct weekly psychotherapy sessions. Mind Muse is a small group practice that focuses on providing quality services to clients who are experiencing an array of symptoms. The goal of the practice is to provide accessible therapeutic services and destigmatize therapy. The therapists at Mind Muse provide a safe, warm, and non-judgmental approach to clients. The therapists engage in various modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, play therapy, brief solution focused therapy, etc.

Job Summary:

Licensed Psychotherapist provides direct clinical weekly sessions to individuals, families, and/or couples. This position includes providing direct psychotherapy treatment, performing client psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans and guiding the treatment process, developing exit plans, providing psychological and emotional support to clients, facilitating client support groups, adhering to client confidentiality standards, training in trauma informed therapy and participating in individual and group supervision each week.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required. • Provide direct psychotherapy treatment, performing client psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans and guiding the treatment process, developing exit plans, providing psychological and emotional support to clients.
• Administer pre and post assessments to participants and will provide the results to the licensed clinical social worker.
• Group Therapy Facilitation
• Maintain accurate records and charting of client files.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The candidate must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for employment in this position:

• Experience working with children, adolescents, families, couples, and/or individuals
• Demonstrated oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, including ability to relate to diverse clients and community population via telehealth and in person.
• Master’s Degree from accredited college or university in the field of social work
• Must be fully licensed as a LCSW, LMFT, LMFT, or LMHC in New York State.
• Satisfactorily pass background check and fingerprint clearance.
• Experience with Windows operating system.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Experience as group facilitator, and/or in crisis intervention.

Compensation:

Minimum of 3-7 hours of onboarding and training prior to seeing clients is required.

A W-2 position with paid vacation, personal, and sick leave after 90 days of full-time employment.

Schedule:

The position is a minimum of 12 hours, 2 evenings are required, and Saturdays are available if interested.

Paid staff meetings and paid group consultations. Staff must attend monthly meeting.

COVID-19 considerations:

This is a hybrid schedule with an office location in Midtown, Manhattan. Therapists are required to work at least one day in the office.
