Under general clinical oversight of the HHS Behavioral Health Director or designee and the administrative oversight of the HHS Director or designee, who will be assigning task in cooperation with the CCP ( Community Corrections Partnership) Executive Team, provides an advanced level of counseling and casework to incarcerated adults with mental illness or substance use addiction. These services are performed within a correctional setting and as individuals transition into the community. Behavioral health services provided during the transition are those necessary to support a successful re-entry and ensure the continuity of care while the community based treatment is established.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
As a member of the Health and Human Services treatment team and under the general clinical supervision of the HHS Deputy Director, Behavioral Health Services or designee, the psychotherapist provides individual and group psychotherapy, substance use treatment/counseling, and case work to incarcerated adults and assist them with transitioning to behavioral health services in the community setting. Performs assessments and develops appropriate strength based treatment plans which are client directed, culturally informed and coordinated with the treatment team, including the Re-entry coordinator. Connects clients re-entering the community to community-based treatment quality assurance meetings to ensure coordinates care for the inmate population; maintains documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations and enter documents into electronic health record where applicable. Provides both scheduled and crisis orientated evaluations of clients experiencing mental health and or/substance use disorder problems; provides 24 hour crisis response services in a rotation with other staff; and other job duties as assigned.
