Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing psychiatric assessments and coordinating the safe admission, transfer, referral, or other appropriate disposition of patients according to their needs. Serves as a liaison to the community and responds to law enforcement, friends, families, and others in the coordination of appropriate treatment for patients who are experiencing a psychiatric emergency. The Psychiatric Liaison is responsible for ensuring the appropriate placement for patients requiring admission or transfer.

Qualifications:
Education:
One of the following is required:
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Experience:
2 years of Behavioral Health experience (if qualifying with a BSN) required
4 years of Behavioral Health experience (if qualifying with a ADN) required

Licenses and Certifications:
FCDBH-5150 - Fresno County 5150 Cert required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
LCSW - State of California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (if qualifying with a MSW) required
RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license (if qualifying with a BSN or ADN) required
