The Dental Provider Relations Advocate is responsible for a full range of provider relations and service interactions within UnitedHealthcare, including being the face of UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Dental whether in-person or over the phone. This role is responsible for developing, enhancing, and delivering provider education programs, addressing escalated high-level complex issues, and communicating resolution in a professional well written manner. The role also ensures the network composition includes an appropriate distribution of provider specialties through spot recruitment as needed. This role will cover an assigned territory and will focus on Medicare and Commercial and lines of business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in end-to-end provider claims and help enhance call quality
  • Assist in efforts to enhance ease of use of physician portal and future services enhancements
  • Contribute to design and implementation of programs that build/nurture positive relationships between the health plan, providers and practice managers
  • Support development and management of provider networks
  • Help implement training and development of external providers through education programs
  • Identify gaps in network composition and services to assist network contracting and development teams

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of health care/managed care experience
  • 2+ years of provider relations and/or provider network experience
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel 25%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in claims processing and issue resolution

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada or New York City Residents Only : The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
