American Orthotic Prosthetic Center, a 30-year business, is currently seeking to hire a Certified Prosthetist/ Orthotists to support customers at our Richmond and Chesapeake, Virginia office.

American Orthotic Prosthetic Center provides the best service to optimize our patient's well-being and quality of life. We will evaluate, manufacture, and fit orthopedic and prosthetic devices, so every patient receives quality personalized care. We are a small company that is seeking a motivated Certified Prosthetist/ Orthotists.

We also participate in overseas mission trips to provide prosthetic and orthotic services to those who are less fortunate than us.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Design and create medical or surgical devices, such as artificial limbs, and fit them to patients.

· Interview patients and assessing their needs

· Design and fabricate orthopedic and prosthetic devices based on patient needs and physician prescriptions

· Support patients by providing use instructions and device repair and maintenance.

· Handle various duties to assist patients according to physician prescriptions.

· Designing and fabricating orthopedic and prosthetic devices based on patients’ measurements and physician prescriptions

· Interview and assess patients to identify unique needs and briefing on treatment plans

· Measure or take impressions of a patient’s body to design a brace, artificial limb or other supportive device with attention to physiological function and health

· Construct prosthetics or orthotics by hand or supervising construction by medical appliance technicians

· Provide patients with device use and maintenance instructions

· Provide ongoing care and repairing or adjusting devices as treatments progress

Required Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics

· Certified and in good standings with the American Board for Certification (ABC)

· Possess computer proficiency.

· Possess a customer focus drive.
