SUMMARY:

This is a temporary/contract position

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing the successful completion of RSBCIHI’s capital projects and ensuring an efficient workflow. The PM will generally be responsible for the creation, organization, execution, and completion of specific projects. Additionally, the incumbent oversees managing project requirements, setting objectives and timelines, budget control, and any adjustments deemed necessary to meet new requirements. This position acts as a liaison between all responsible parties involved in the project. This may include tribal delegates, tribal entities, administrators, architects, city utilities, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Creating long- and short-term project goals
  • Setting targets for milestones
  • Adhering to deadlines and allocating resources
  • Identifying and managing potential risks and liabilities of projects
  • Must be able to anticipate needs and be proactive
  • Assisting in the definition of project scope and goals
  • Must be an effective decision maker who works independently
  • Ability to change priorities and pivot with little notice
  • Ensuring any capital projects are within the approved budget and a construction timeline is on target
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed
  • Motivating people involved in the project to complete tasks on time
  • Assure all correspondence is handled timely and appropriately

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework
  • Project Management experience within the healthcare realm
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g., agile/scrum)
  • Proven project management leadership skills
  • Cost and risk management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to make important decisions under pressure
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Ability to delegate effectively
  • Time management skills
  • Friendly and approachable

Education:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in either business or management required for Project Manager.

Experience:

Experience working in the healthcare field or industry as a Project Manager. Three or more years of management experience preferred.

Knowledge of:

Must have an adequate grasp of policy knowledge, construction and building codes including health, safety, environmental and business best practices.

License:

Must possess a valid California driver’s license. A current DMV printout is required.

Ability to:

Interface at all levels

Function independently

Daily travel to project sites when needed

Must be able to work within the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian culture and its needs

Salary Range:

$105,000-$115,000 annually
