PROJECT MANAGER

Basic Function: The Project Manager position provides management, coordination, and oversight for assigned construction projects. The Project Manager is responsible for the administrative controls, project budget, implementation of cost controls, and schedule adherence for the project.

Project Manager Job Duties:

· Oversee and direct construction projects from award to completion.

· Review the project in-depth to develop the project schedule.

· Oversee all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.

· Work with project superintendent to coordinate and direct field workers and subcontractors.

· Meet contractual conditions of performance.

· Review the work progress on a daily basis with project superintendent.

· Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status and budget.

· Evaluate cost performance and implement change when necessary.

· Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.

· Convey project objectives, goals, and responsibilities to entire project team.

· Negotiate terms of agreements, draft subcontracts and purchase orders, and obtain permits and licenses.

· Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.

· Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

· Effectively and timely communicates with management, project owners, RJC staff, field personnel, vendors and customers.

· Provide additional support as needed.

Education & Experience: The Project Manager will be proficient in Procore, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and will have experience in estimating and managing self performed and subcontracted work. The Project Manager will have a strong understanding of construction means and methods associated with the commercial construction. The Project Manager will be competent in conflict and crisis management, have strong leadership and management skills, and have excellent time and project management skills. A minimum of 5 years commercial general contractor or related work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Project Management is required.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $128,195.34 per year
