SUMMARY

The Project Manager role will provide post-sale provisioning and implementation of Frontier’s strategic products/services to ensure Frontier meets its contractual requirements while delivering exceptional service levels to our commercial customers. The Project Manager is responsible for a combination of planning and execution of activities related to delivery of projects and/or financial/budgeting activity for their teams. Project Managers are responsible for the success of multiple projects within a given timeline and budget, creation and maintenance of status reports, proactively managing issues and risks, and can work with both internal and external partners. The position includes daily customer contact to communicate project status and works closely with all internal departments to ensure implementation timeline and level of service are met or exceeded.

Establishes and executes effective communication with Project Stakeholders; Partners with stakeholders to lead the project planning effort, including the formulation of the project scope, definition of the project deliverables and the required delivery dates, creation of a logical work breakdown structure, and definition of major tasks, activities, and project milestones; Understands organizational/initiative goals and success criteria to apply to project work; Experience in Agile, Waterfall or other project delivery methodologies. Ability and understanding of project plans and development, risk identification & mitigation. Applies lessons learned to inform future initiatives; Creates, monitors, tracks, and adjusts project plans based on critical milestones for a project of group of initiatives; Assists in development, then executes change management process and activities within Technology organization; Works with stakeholders to determine and align dependencies, then proactively risk and issues via identification and mitigation plans

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review Scope of Work & Data Gathering Forms to ensure accuracy and completion.
  • Customer Obsessed, providing timely and weekly status on project forecast.
  • Proactively work with the customer to communicate customer-requirements and upcoming milestones for implementation, deliveries, data, and testing
  • Excellent communicator who can work across multiple functional teams to gather information, remove roadblocks and drive the project to success.
  • Responsible for creating accurate billing in our billing system to ensure correct invoice generation.
  • Work across Task Management System and Project Management System to understand the current state, ball in court, and report effectively on the project status, risks, and what it will take to complete successfully
  • Communicate and work closely with all internal departments as needed to escalate and to meet project timelines.
  • Escalate to leadership as needed with each associated workgroup
  • Proactively schedule meetings, including defined agendas, schedule & lead status calls with internal operational departments, sales, customer, and other stakeholders, as required, with documented meeting notes and actions
  • This position is the primary point of contact for the project. Lead all efforts for implementation and escalations to meet the installation date(s) while keeping the customer and account representative in the loop of all communications.
  • May include other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Degree in Business, Finance, or Construction Management
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in Project Management, Controls, or Program Management
  • Extensive knowledge in data-gathering forms and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
  • Experience in project management systems (MS Project, P6, Sitetracker, etc.
  • Experience in project financials and activity budgeting
  • Preferred understanding of commercial telecommunications products/services.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally from project inception to order completion.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM with order workflow preferred

  • Ability to work independently or with minimal direction

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to understand design/engineering layouts & telecommunication terminology
  • Experience communicating difficult conversations with customers and customer leadership teams
  • Ability to problem solve and provide clarity when data is complex and perplexing.
  • Obtained or working toward PMP Certification
  • Scheduling calculations and Earned Value knowledge is a plus
