Position Purpose:

Project Managers assist Enterprise Chain's Project Management Office (PMO) with leading key ministry projects. Through maintaining an understanding of the various core and critical business processes within the enterprise, the Project Manager will be able to provide peer leadership on large multi-departmental projects which may include elements of both process improvement and project management.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead Enterprise Chain projects by collaborating work with departments across the ministry as assigned by the Director of the Project Management Office.
  • Demonstrate project management leadership by understanding organizational needs within projects and tailoring project management approaches accordingly.
  • Involve all relevant stakeholders in initial scope/requirements gathering and discovery to define the core project team necessary for the successful execution of special projects.
  • Develop the charter, scope statement, and schedule for projects by AWM PMO standards.
  • Assist project leads with building necessary methods of measurement and monitor all key tasks and associated deliverables throughout the execution phase as needed, reporting on issues as they arise.
  • Work to understand and strategically negotiate with managers and directors to accomplish process and system improvements which may require a significant workload on the part of their team or department.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of ministry leadership and actively build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders from multiple departments.
  • Function as an advisor to multiple teams on best practices and methodologies including - but not limited to - process design, system design, information flow, workflow, performance measurement, project management, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Ensure technical feasibility for tasks identified within project scope statements.
  • Identify potential risks, constraints, or other failure points in projects and communicate those to the project teams.
  • Innovate and maintain agility within project management approaches to minimize the amount of unnecessary time spent by departments in project-related meetings.
  • Proactively identify additional stakeholders as necessary within the project scope and successfully onboard them to the project.
  • Map projects into software including tasks, dependencies, responsible parties, and completion dates.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings utilizing the Maximum CEO model of leadership
  • Research new technologies and assess their potential viability and possible impact including cost-benefit analysis.
  • Occasionally serve as a point person/contact on behalf of the Director of Project Management Office on key projects requiring the utmost tact and professional communication.
  • Demonstrate cost savings and other business benefits of all process improvement and project management initiatives.
  • Maintain the confidence of all departments as necessary by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by proactively pursuing personal and professional development, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and networking.
  • Assist with other ministry projects & tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of project management techniques and methods.
  • Sound knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in an open, collaborative office environment
  • Ability to communicate/coordinate with a wide variety of people.
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • High level of initiative and proactiveness.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and provide solutions.
  • An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to operate a Windows computer and proficient in Microsoft Office

Requirements:

  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith
  • High school diploma or equivalent education is required
  • Charis Bible College graduate is preferred
  • CAPM or PMP certification is a plus
  • CMMI / Lean / Six Sigma certifications is a plus

Experience:

  • 3+ years of proven project management or comparative experience
  • General management & leadership experience with a project team
  • Experience using project management software
  • Proven ability to complete complex projects involving multiple teams, a budget, and time constraints
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience
