The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting project managers and the operations team with organizing and controlling project activities; ensuring materials are available for manufacturing, communicating project progression, and current state of the project through office and shopfloor Glass Walls and tracking sheets. Responsible for coordinating meetings, resources, equipment and information. The Project Coordinators assist the team with the administration of workflows within JDE, with the goal of seeing projects completed on, within budget, all while constantly improving processes and procedures.
Responsibilities

  • Create work orders and set up job files
  • Enter estimated hours for the appropriate manufacturing cells to produce a schedule and assist in tracking methods of the project and task efficiency
  • Make sure team has all documents needed to start the project
  • Document control for each phase of the project
  • Help create project schedule and keep up to date throughout duration of project
  • Inform Project Manager of any potential project issues
  • Help project manager review drawings and make lists of outstanding questions for customer
  • Gather costs and other documents needed for invoicing
  • Produce documents needed for shipping
  • Help implement and maintain inventory management systems
  • Participate in implementing system to assign actual direct labor to item numbers per job
  • Assist in developing standard work on the shop floor
  • Assist in the management, tracking and documentation of various components of ACS Safety Program
  • Participate and assist in the development of a quality system to document and track production Cost of Quality (CoQ)
  • Participate in setting up and maintaining Gemba/Glass wall processes

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required (supervision, quality, planning, engineering, design, customer service)
  • Associate’s Degree (business, marketing, sales, project management).
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, and ERP-based programs
  • Ability to read and understand CAD drawings and Architectural Prints.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with and lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
