Project Coordinator- Freight Forwarding

Become a part of our international Operations team at our location in Miami, Florida. For the next possible date we are looking for you in Full Time (40h/week) as Project Coordinator- Freight Forwarding.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Handling and managing general cargo and project shipments, incl. full operational (technical) and cost control / profitability (commercial) aspects
• Serving as a point of contact for clients, partners and other offices for any project operations-related issues
• Shipping all kind of cargo, incl. out-of-gauge and heavy lift cargo across the globe
• Coordinating and negotiating with subcontractors, sourcing competitive rates from potential subcontractors
• Calculating and monitoring project profits
• Supporting sales team in writing up offers and proposals to clients
• Administration and support in daily business activities in a global business environment
• Supporting management (local and regional) in reporting, etc.

Your contribution:

• Successfully completed training in the field of freight forwarding
• 1-2 years of work experiences in the freight forwarding industry
• Proven track record of successfully executed logistics operations, coordination and management
• Know-how in freight forwarding; experience in ocean freight, incl. break bulk, is an advantage
• Familiarization with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel
• Good organizational skills, customer-focused with attention to detail
• Excellent communications skills (cross-functional and cross-cultural)
• Fluent English and Spanish skills, both written and verbal
