  • As the project controls analyst, you will support our Construction Project Managers in consistently applying business processes, efficiency, and accounting principles for contractor Purchase Orders, Field Change Orders, and invoice payments.
  • The successful candidate will provide complex analytical support and recommendations for material requests, scheduling, project status, work execution, and completion for Transmission Civil and Telecom work across our service territory, using tools such as Grid Tactical Tool, SAP, and other relevant software.
  • Your Day-to-Day Activities:
  • Creating reports from in-depth analysis of costs and scheduling
  • Providing analytical support to Managers, Supervisors, Project Managers, and field staff throughout all project and maintenance activities
  • Performing analytical support activities related to construction management, resource planning, scheduling, and regulatory compliance functions within Transmission Civil and Telecom
  • Review and report contractor spending
  • Ensure controls are in place for SCE/Contractor accountability
  • Pay contractor invoices through Ariba, SAP, and Supplier Portal
  • Support Construction Project Managers, Procurement, and Contractor Safety in reviewing and understanding the end-to-end request for proposal (RFP) process

You’ll be prepared for this job if you have…

  • Five or more years of experience in technical skills and expertise in analyzing business issues, operations, resource requirements, and cost-control efforts
  • Proficiency using SAP is essential

You’ll stand out if you have…

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel performing advanced functions such as VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, charts, and graphing is preferre
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook and ARIBA, Supplier Portal, or similar invoicing and purchase order software is desired
  • General knowledge of and experience with regulatory requirements GO 95, GO128, GO165, and GO131D as they relate to Transmission
  • Experience with project management through matrixed employees/teams/vendors who are not direct reports but for which the incumbent has direct accountability to lead and achieve project objectives
