This position will report to the CFO organization while providing support to Operations.

Clearance: None Responsibilities:

  • Finance support to Business Unit and Project Managers
  • The Project Controller is the CFO of the Business Unit (BU) and BU Project/Program Managers (PMs). The PC will provide monthly financial reports; track spending against budgets; develop, monitor and update EACs; and provide variance analyses.
  • Monitor contract funding levels, and as necessary, initiate limitation of fund (LOF) letters and/or funding requests through BE Contracts team. Initiate work at risk (WAR) forms, as needed.
  • Produce quarterly Internal Project Reviews (IPR) financial reports and provide financial support during IPR briefings.
  • Review job/1099 offers and salary increases and provide salary guidance in line with contract rates.
  • Track onboarding/offboarding actions and resource utilization to manage labor burn rates.
  • Support Billing team with monthly invoice processing, as needed.
  • Support new Contract kick-off activities and briefing/onboarding of new PMs.
  • Lead weekly Business Unit project review meeting with BU Leader, Subcontracts Administrator and Contracts team.
  • Lead monthly project status meetings with PMs and BU Leader

*Serve as a liaison between Operations and other corporate functions*

  • Monitor Subcontractor funding levels/burn rates and prepare Requests for Subcontractor Actions (RSA) requests.
  • Review and approve Purchase Requests for direct costs.
  • Provide contractual support by reviewing and approving contract funding modifications/de-obligations as well as contract close-outs.
  • Work with the Costpoint support team to ensure timesheet access and accuracy by updating project work assignments in Costpoint.

*Provide support to CFO organization*

  • Prepare and maintain live forecast and AOP and variance analyses
  • Assist with UAR reconciliation
  • Prepare Quarterly financial reports for BUs
  • Assist with Month-end close (monthly EACs, revenue recognition, analysis of direct costs, and preparation of cost accruals)
  • Prepare quarterly Backlog and Waterfall reports
  • Prepare monthly Direct Labor Utilization reports.

Qualifications:

  • Very strong skills: finance and accounting, MS excel, organization, task management, written and oral communication.
  • 4+ years of federal government contracting and program financial experience including long range forecasting, tracking costs to budget, cost to ceilings, and execution to schedule.
  • Solid working knowledge of multiple types of contracts including FFP, CPFF, T&M, and IDIQ contracts.
  • Knowledge of DoD contract processes, FAR, and DCAA audit and reporting methods.
  • 2+ years’ experience with Costpoint.
  • Knowledge of Costpoint Forecasting cloud version.
  • EVM experience
  • CMMI experience
