SageSure, the insurance first, tech-forward, capital-lite managing general underwriter that focuses on the underserved, preferred homeowners middle-market, is seeking a Program Reporting Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. This role serves a key role in production of month-end program reporting and surplus lines reporting processes. This position will work with Corporate Finance team members as well as other departments to prepare, analyze, and validate reports required for carriers, distribution partners, and state compliance offices.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrier and Distribution Reporting:
  • Prepare, analyze, and validate monthly carrier and distribution partner financial data
  • Update and maintain all month end reporting macros for continued efficiency of monthly report creation for carrier and producer reports
  • Prepare month end bordereau and commission reporting for carriers and distribution partners
  • Help ensure timely, accurate commission payments to distribution partners
  • Maintain month end validation processes and update as necessary
  • Monitor and maintain rate, fee, and commission changes, and add to validation process
  • Monitor new product launches to ensure accurate inclusion in month end reporting
  • Reconcile carrier monthly roll-forward reporting
  • Prepare monthly budget vs. actual program exhibits for management
  • Create adhoc reports for management
  • Maintain process documentation and control narrative

  • Surplus Lines Compliance and Reporting:
  • Prepare submission of surplus lines taxes, preparation of tax affidavits and filing of required forms on timely basis as specified by each state
  • Research and analyze changes to surplus lines reporting regulations and organize the implementation of new rules
  • Work with internal departments to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Maintain the compliance log to record adherence to state policy and track payment and filing statistics
  • Establish and create reporting requirements and procedures
  • Maintain individual state requirements
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Prepare monthly management reporting

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant financial analysis experience
  • Ability to review and analyze regulatory compliance materials to update the operating procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, including macros
  • Analytical review competency
  • Attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Ability to gain understanding of how internal applications and related Information Technology controls support achievement of business processing objectives
  • Time and project management skills

Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • Working knowledge of XML programming
  • Experience in surplus lines reporting, audit, or regulatory examination preferred
