Job description
Tesla is looking for a Sr. Program Manager to scale and optimize tire programs and eliminate towing for flat tires. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record implementing cross-functional initiatives and scaling businesses, be highly customer-centric, and display an analytical approach to creative problem-solving.
What You’ll Do- Partner with engineering to identify product opportunities, test and validate Universal Loaner Wheels
- Collaborate with Mobile Tire and Mobile Service teams to optimize suite of tire solutions for customers and business
- Oversee and optimize loaner wheel program, ensuring adequate inventory and forecasting to meet rapidly growing demand
- Innovate in how Tesla solves for flat tires and the customer
- Implement initiatives to incentivize timely return of loaner wheels
- Expand loaner wheel program to new markets
- Monitor inventory health for Service and partner with Supply Chain stakeholders to maintain adequate inventory levels based on business objectives
- Evaluate and develop 3rd party partnerships including system integrations to improve owner experience for tires in secondary markets or where Service resources are constrained
- Develop business cases and explore alternative tire technologies and accessories to maintain customer mobility and allow self-service options for owners
- Partner with key stakeholders both internal and external to successfully implement initiatives to positively impact the business
- Explore new business models for developing Tesla’s tire business
- Partner with data teams to develop dashboards and extract key data points to drive the business
- Develop cross-functional system integrations in partnership with Digital Product to streamline workflows
- Tire product knowledge resource development
What You’ll Bring
- Ability to travel to HQ and/or field service locations one week per month
- Ability to report from a Tesla location daily
- Analytical mindset, experience mining and summarizing data from multiple sources

High School diploma or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability; associate’s or bachelor’s degree or certificate preferred- Experience navigating ambiguous environments and shifting responsibilities
- Proven track record of implementing cross-functional initiatives and scaling businesses
- JIRA experience or other relevant project management experience
- Knowledge of inventory management principles
- Process documentation experience
- Ability to perform repetitious duties including: regularly lift up to 25 lbs., sit, bend and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to occasionally lift to 50 lbs., climb or balance, kneel or crouch, and reach to retrieve parts.
- Specific vision abilities required include: ability to identify parts, operate systems, and identify potential safety hazards in the department
