Montare Behavioral Health located in the San Fernando Valley area is looking for a Program Manager!

Summary: The Program Manager ensures the daily operations of the facility are being followed which include management and supervisor of operational staff, interviewing, hiring, and termination of staff; coordination, implementation and evaluation of the program's development. The Program Manager has the knowledge of and is culturally sensitive to employees and the problems of clients. The Program Manager is the final authority with regard to the day-to-day operations of the facility including maintenance matters. The Program Manager will help monitor the quality of care, ensure that it is in line with state and federal agencies, as well as the mission, and philosophy of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist staff and participate in education training, adhering to the policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the activities of the facility in accordance with state and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Communicate with Medical Staff and Clinical Staff regarding client care.
  • Maintain knowledge of job functions within the organization.
  • Responsible for operational staff interviews, hires, and termination.
  • Orient new personnel to the organization and job functions.
  • Ensure staff completes and submit schedules on time and ensure that sick, vacation, and holiday leave is accounted for.
  • Support HR with payroll.
  • Responsible for creating all non -clinical staff schedules to ensure adequate staff coverage.
  • Support in creating resident schedules on google calendar.
  • Maintain a consistent and open channel of communication with all staff and ensure that discrepancies are identified and resolved.
  • Conduct staff meetings and communicates all pertinent information relating to clinical staff, administrative and program.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Establish contracts and pricing and ensuring proper maintenance and serving as primary liaison with utilities and local government agencies, such as fire, police, health and safety agencies.
  • Work closely with the Program Director, Facility Administrator and clinical team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.
  • Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings.
  • Point personal for all maintenance related matters.
  • Responsible for facility safety measures.
  • Follow program's procedures on vehicle and property maintenance
  • Complete household chores to ensure facility is clean, safe and sanitary
  • Utilizes creative and flexible approaches to accomplish tasks
  • Utilizes customer service approach with clients, family members and community members

Experience, Knowledge, Skills:

  • BA preferred. High School graduate or GED is required or equivalent life experience. Coursework in counseling, psychology, or social work preferred.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience working in a treatment setting with mental health clients.
  • At least 2 years of supervisor experience with 5-10 direct reports.
  • Knowledge of and belief in the principles of client centered treatment.
  • Knowledge of medications preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Able to maintain a professional manner with clients, staff, clients and visitors.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced setting, under pressure and maintain open, and proper communication.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and strong boundaries with the clients.
  • Knowledge of DSS, DHCS & Join Commission Standards a plus.
  • Kipu EMR experience preferred.

Hiring Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record and personal automobile insurance.
  • Water Safety Certificate
  • Hiring is contingent upon completion of a Background Check, TB test, and clearance on a drug screen and pre-employment physical. Current First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire.
  • For the mental health and eating disorder programs additional requirements include receiving DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance or an exemption and a submission of a signed Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508).
