Program Manager

Sumaria Systems, LLC is a successful defense contractor that has been in business for 40 years. We are seeking a results-oriented, seasoned leader to lead a large program for our Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) side of the business. This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated professional to assume a key leadership role in the company. This position will manage a large EPASS contract while also interacting with government customers, employees, sub-contractors, and company leadership and support activities, for the successful execution of the contract.

This position reports to the Director of Operations, A&AS Division

Responsibilities, not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for Cost, Schedule, and Performance for all positions on a large contract, including employees at multiple geographic locations
  • Lead and supervise Mission Leads, Team Leads, and up to 400 direct employees
  • Maintain excellent business relations with customers and subcontractor teammates
  • Engage with senior government customer leaders
  • Present monthly financial and program execution reviews
  • Work with your team to visualize trends; ensure costs and Task Order execution continually meet expectations; identify potential problem areas and initiate corrective actions before cost, funding, performance issues materialize
  • Resolve customer issues and employee issues with senior management
  • Ensure all deliverables are submitted on time, and are of high quality and accurate
  • Write job requisitions and hire qualified staff to fill position vacancies
  • Ensure customer satisfaction (distinguished CPAR ratings)
  • Visit all employee sites, as required

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

  • Ten (10) years of well-rounded experience in Program Management, preferably in conjunction with the DoD federal contractor industry and DoD acquisitions
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Skilled in acquisitions, program control, contracts, subcontracts, financial reporting
  • Understand various contract types (Firm Fixed Price, Time and Materials, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, CPFF Level of Effort, etc.)
  • Independent self-starter and problem solver
  • Ability to monitor and meet deadlines and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow processes from start to finish, and provide ideas for improvement
  • Keen attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality for sensitive matters
  • Ability to resolve conflict directly and productively
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
  • Maintain a cordial and professional demeanor at all times

DESIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management, or PMP certification
  • DoD acquisition experience
  • Experience in PEO Digital Directorate, Divisions, or Branches (AFLCMC/HB)
  • A strong network in the Hanscom AFB community
  • Excellent critical thinking, evaluation and analytical skills
