Hours: Mon- Fri: 8:30am-4:30pm with week day on call coverage

Pay Rate: $62,000.00 annually/ $1,192.31 per week

What you'll do in this job:

Oversee the daily program operation of multiple residential homes including staff supervision, service plan development and implementation, record keeping and physical plant requirements. Ensure that all regulatory requirements are met. You will support the emotional, physical and personal well-being of the individuals assigned, encourage growth by recognizing their autonomy and being proactive with them in reducing their harm; foster a spirit of partnership with each individual and with their "Circle of Support" members; always affirm the human rights, civil rights and responsibilities of each individual as well as justice, inclusion and full community participation. Perform in a manner consistent with the NADSP Code of Ethics.

  • Develop a shared relationship with the individuals living in the home that supports their unique personal desires and needs. Provide assistance with decision making, problem solving and providing encouragement to become as much of a self-advocate as possible.
  • Assist the individual to know their own personal strengths and worth and to share those personal traits with others in a variety of community setting and support them in making friends within their natural community settings.
  • Work in a professional and ethical manner. Establish a trusting relationship by being reliable and on time when providing supports and/or activities based on the individuals stated valued outcomes and goals. Always work towards assisting the individuals to achieve maximum success by developing a mutually respectful relationship with them and their "Circle of Supports".
  • Support healthy living practices including diet, exercise, stress reduction and emotional support, medical and dental practices.
  • Participate in the development and review of each individual's service plan meetings. Know and understand the unique aspects of each individual's plan (s); document all services delivered as prescribed by Agency policies and procedures. Advocate for changes on each individual's behalf when necessary or requested by the individual. Participate in any Team meetings with or for the individual necessary to ensuring each individual's needs and wants are being addressed and that each individual is successfully supported towards meeting their stated outcomes/goals.
  • Provide guidance and assistant to program staffed in the development, implementation and modification of individuals' service plans. Ensure the provision of services within the principals of person-centered planning. Facilitate the Treatment Team process within the residential program as needed. Act as a liaison for program staff on issues related to residential services with families and service coordination, day and employment program staff as needed to resolve issues or determine appropriate actions. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to the development and implementation of plans of services.
  • Coordinate the admission, discharge and transfer of individual within the residential program in conjunction with other management staff. Conduct visits and observations to get to know the person before they move in.
  • Understand and report all instances of physical or emotional harm to the individual by others in accordance with Agency policies and procedures relative to OPWDD Part 624 regulations. Ensure the safety and well-being of the individual immediately following any incidents of physical or emotional harm.
  • Oversee the management of all program and individual records. Ensure all program compliance with all applicable regulatory, fiscal and Agency policies and procedures. Ensure all documentation for billing is accurate and submitted within required timelines on a consistent basis.
  • Conduct internal audits and record reviews at all sites. Ensure other management staff conducts audits, reviews and observations on an ongoing basis at all sites applicable to their supervision and scope of responsibility. Participate in regulatory inspections of the program and ensure the appropriate Plan of Corrective Action is developed (for statements of deficiencies or citations) and submit to supervisor within required timelines. Ensure implementation of all Plans of Corrective Action and monitor them for systemic changes. Ensure all policy and procedure updates related to the Plan of Corrective Action are developed and implemented upon approval of the Supervisor.
  • In conjunction with the Supervisor and Director of Finance, develop a fiscally responsible budget for each residential site on an annual basis to include accurate revenue and expense projections, staffing requirements by position and major equipment expenses. Once approved by the Board of Directors, implement the budget and monitor throughout the year.
  • Approve the employment, salary, scheduling, promotion and transfer of residential program personnel per established Agency policies and procedures. Ensure the confidentiality and proper management of staff records.
  • Develop and implement program staff orientation and training programs. Oversee and provide training to program staff relative to their role in providing residential habilitations services, supervisory functions, quality programming and other topics related to the scope of job responsibilities and expectations. Provide ongoing supervision to program staff via direct supervision of management staff and direct observation of specific program observations.
  • Provide weekly on-call coverage. Provide guidance and supervision to all personnel as needed.
  • Ensure preparation and submission of routine program evaluation reports, management reports and tracking information for residential series or as directed by Supervisor. Assist the Supervisor in maintaining the Residential Program Policy and Procedures Manual relative to the residential programs.
  • Operate Agency vehicles in a safe manner and accordance with Agency procedures and monitor the same for staff. Implement a system for maintenance of vehicles assigned to the site. Monitor inventory records for required Agency property and program property as applicable.
  • Notify maintenance staff of any physical plant needs in a timely manner. Ensure minor physical plant needs are addressed. Ensure that fire drills, sprinkler inspections and other required safety procedures are completed.
  • Directly supervise Residential Managers and indirectly supervise Assistant Managers.

What we need from you:

  • Associates degree in Human Services (Preferred)
  • High School diploma or TASC(GED)
  • 3 years combined experience working in human service field and/or supervisory experience required.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Exceptional written, communication, and computer skills
  • Ability to be certified in all required trainings
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds
