Additionally, the Program Manager will be responsible for vigilant cost containment and a comprehensive communications effort. The Program Manager works within the Program Management department in collaboration with the Senior Program Manager. The manager must be capable of working at all levels of the organization to build a case for the program and gain the assurance from the department heads. The manager must all be able to lead customer program teams though the established process.

Job purpose
A Program Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of program management for customer programs and focusing on the oversight of product launches. Additionally, the Program Manager will be responsible for vigilant cost containment and a comprehensive communications effort. The Program Manager works within the Program Management department in collaboration with the Senior Program Manager. The manager must be capable of working at all levels of the organization to build a case for the program and gain the assurance from the department heads. The manager must all be able to lead customer program teams though the established process.
Key responsibilities
  • Works at all levels of the organization to build a case for the program and gain the assurance of the department heads allowing the allocation of the required resources
  • Interact with customer teams to help develop and lead programs to satisfy customer demands
  • Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for the planning, organization, budget, integration, and completion of prototype programs
  • Leads customer program teams through the established process which includes strategic programs involving planning and defining objectives, product/process design and development, product/process validation and initial production performance
  • Ensure internal and external documentation requirements are met, customer team members are trained on relevant processes and common inquiries or complaints from customers and internal personnel are handled in a timely manner
  • Builds and achieves program timelines to meet critical achievements
  • Builds and maintains communications with both customer personnel and senior management
  • Provide customers the relationship and experience that contributes to awarding new business in the future
  • Recognizes and identifies change to encourage dedication to improvements
What we’re looking for
  • Requires a BSME, BSEE, or BSIE. Master’s degree in engineering or Business preferred
  • 8 years program management, engineering, or manufacturing experience with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience. Ideally experience around lithium-ion battery systems and/or electrical power engines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project) required
  • Strong program management skills in resource, task and budget planning are required
  • High level of technical competence, program solving, organization and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Understanding of managerial fiancé as it relates to program and business metrics
  • Proven understanding of engineering and manufacturing functions within the automotive supplier market segment
