Your Role:

The Program Leader assists the Program Manager in the planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation of quality and developmentally appropriate programs, activities, services, and special events for members. Additional responsibilities include the oversight of program staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs and activities.
  • Provide supervision and discipline of member’s participating in program sessions.
  • Lead and/or participate in collaborative programs and events.
  • Assessing our impact is critical to our work. All staff is expected to participate in various evaluation efforts throughout each program year, including the annual member survey.
  • Secure and maintain materials, equipment and other resources belonging to the program area(s). Maintain cleanliness of program area(s).
  • Assist in the orientation, training and supervision of staff, junior staff and volunteers
  • Participate in individual and group supervision sessions.
  • Other related duties as specified by the Club Director.

Position Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Work Demands):

  • Associates degree preferred in the human services/youth development field
  • Previous experience providing classes/programs/activities for youth; curriculum development experience preferred
  • Knowledge of youth development principles
  • Some supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • MS Office and web competency preferred
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
