Job Overview:
The Program Financial Analyst will be responsible for the program financial analysis and general support of the Finance department at the Huntsville site. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills who will analyze financial data and create new and improve upon existing financial models for decision support.
Duties:
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
- Improve the monthly project reporting package for Program Managers to review actual costs and estimate future costs
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Support the monthly Program Management Review by providing analysis, reports and slides
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure project ledger reconciles to the general ledger
- Assist in the RFP/RFQ process by compiling Basis of Estimates and incorporating them into the proposal pricing model
- Assist in establishing enterprise-wide Finance policies and procedures
Skills/Qualifications:
- 5+ years in comparable financial analyst work experience
- Robust Excel proficiency and experience
- Practical application in financial modeling
- Knowledge and application of financial reporting metrics (NPV, IRR, WACC, etc.)
- Strong analytical and data-gathering skills
- Familiarity with data query/data management tools (Cognos, SQL, etc.)
