Spend your summer making a difference in the lives of campers and staff members at Camp Natarswi in the Millinocket region. The Camp Program Director will oversee all camp programs and program staff and will ensure a quality, the enriching program is offered to all girls; will also assume responsibility for the well-being of camp. • Job responsibilities include:
• Runs camp in the absence of the Camp Director or the Assistant Camp Director.
• Works with the Camp Director to develop and implement a camp program that is reflective of the Girl Scout program, camping goals and objectives, and the needs and interests of girls.
• Works with the Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director to develop needed routines, schedules, procedures for camp operations, and proper maintenance of camp property.
• Works with the Camp Director to plan and implement staff training and in-service training.
• Work with the Trip Advisor to Implement and plan camper trips off-site. Assure pack-outs are completed
• Assists with opening and closing of camp.
• Contributes to the overall health and well-being of campers and camp staff.
• Provides supervision and leadership to all program staff.
• Assumes administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Camp Director, including leadership of staff meetings and large group activities.
• Is available for camp meetings and assists with behavior management of campers.
• Transportation of Campers or Staff During camp season
• Assist in maintaining Camper records in CampMinder and camper awards
• Assisting with General camp daily operations
• All Administration staff will work 2-3 shifts in the kitchen assisting the team with food prep, dishwashing, cleaning equipment, restocking food items, assisting with inventory, or other necessary responsibilities
• Training provided:
• Two weeks paid staff training- Admin training/prep time and All Staff training
• Additional certification week (if needed) may include CPR, wilderness first aid, lifeguarding, canoeing, challenge course, hatchet throwing, archery, and others
• Dates of employment:
• Early June to end of August
• If available, administrative staff may begin prep work in early June

Physical requirements:

Ability and willingness to perform tasks that involve the ability to exert physical effort, which may involve bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 40 pounds). Regular standing and prolonged periods of walking on rough and uneven terrain at camp is required.

Pay: $2,800.00 - $3,400.00 per year
