PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Summary:

  • Provides administration of assigned home(s), including supervising Direct Support Professionals/Direct Care Staff, developing program plans, ensuring the general welfare of all individuals, and managing resources required to meet their needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of Individual Program Plans for residentsAssumes primary responsibility for monitoring overall progress of individuals, including scheduling and follow-up on counseling sessions, home visits, clinic appointments, and contact with family or school and other services rendered outside the residential program
  • Meet regularly with residence staff to develop strategies and resolve issues
  • Review written documentation of all pertinent information concerning individual programs, and take appropriate action
  • Responsible for a rotating schedule of unannounced visits quarterly or as needed
  • Assist the Executive Team in developing and monitoring programs to promote and enhance independence and communicate the integration for all consumers
  • Hire, supervise, and conduct periodic written job performance evaluations of staff in assigned home(s)
  • Responsible for scheduling the activities of all staff in assigned home(s) to ensure the appropriate implementation of program plans and compliance with agency policies and procedures
  • Responsible for monitoring and managing programs, recording transactions, and ensuring adequate receipts for purchases
  • Understand and effectively handle Self-Injurious behaviors (SIB)
  • Must be familiar with all rules and regulations of the agency to assist all individuals correctly and safely
  • Must provide services according to recipient’s ISP
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient/client information
  • Provide professional internal and external relationships, cooperation, and partnership with all ABC LLC employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in human service field (sociology, social work, psychology, special education, rehabilitation counseling)
  • A minimum three-years’ experience working and supervising people with intellectual, developmental, and mental disabilities.
  • Must meet the requirements of a Qualified Intellectual Developmental Professional (QIDP)
