The Neighborhood Services Division strives to engage and strengthen neighborhoods in Orange County through encouraging compliance with the relevant codes, neighborhood planning, community development, and outreach.

The Neighborhood Services Division is seeking a highly qualified professional to fill the position of Program Coordinator to assist with administering the division’s outreach programs.



Representative Duties


Conducts special project assignments and provides administrative support to the assigned division. This is responsible administrative work assisting the Division Director. The incumbent conducts assignments to enhance and improve division operations. An employee in a position assigned to this classification performs research, analysis and evaluation of programs, projects and operational procedures. Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the assigned supervisor. This position will be required to attend community meetings in the evenings and occasionally attend community events on the weekends. Performs other duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications


Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Planning, Business Administration, or closely related field and two years of experience working with citizens and project/ program coordination; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience working with neighborhood, civic, or non-profit organizations
