Position Summary & Responsibilities

This position manages two of the five major USDA commodity programs in the Food Distribution Unit. This position is responsible for managing the Nutrition Services Incentive Program (NSIP) by entering monthly commodity orders, tracking allocations, monthly reporting and the program is jointly administered with KDADS.

This position also manages the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) by determining their monthly ordering needs and placing orders on the USDA WBSCM system, monitoring the program participation counts, monthly reporting, and monthly grant reimbursements for the four administering agencies. This position does travel to conduct reviews on distribution sites.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

· Six months of experience in planning, implementing and monitoring activities relevant to the agency’s programs.

· Have Experience with WORD and EXCEL- Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

· Class C Driver License required.

Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Security Clearance: A background check (KBI - criminal background, welfare fraud, driver's license and Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry) is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) as a condition of employment, which may include fingerprinting and FBI check. Security clearance must be obtained prior to employment with DCF.

Compensation: $36,171.20 annually ($17.39 an hour)
