ABOUT CHILDREN SERVICES OF ROXBURY:

Founded in 1972 Children’s Services of Roxbury’s (CSR) mission is to provide high quality services to economically disadvantaged children, youth, families, and individuals thereby promoting and strengthening family life and individual growth. CSR serves approximately 6,000 families across Massachusetts, serving families through four key services areas; Early Education and Care, Behavioral Health Services, Youth and Family Services and Housing and Stabilization. There are 22 programs operating under those four services areas. CSR operates across in 4 cities, has a staff of 400 employees, and an operating budget of $28M.

Summary:

This professional is task with several necessary behind-the-scene duties that are necessary to keep the program running smoothly.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Educator’s Services Support:

In collaboration with the Childcare Specialists, Assist the Director with Educators services including, enrollment of Educators, Educators training, PQR and QRIS, children educational programs and curriculum, children assessments, referrals, children health and safety program including child protection program, Educators licensing and compliance, Educators home visiting program, and technical assistance according EEC Policies and Regulations and CSR childcare agreement.

2. Transportation Services Support:

In collaboration with the childcare staff assist the Director with Transportation service program compliance of EEC regulations required licenses to establish policies and procedures that keep children safe whenever they are being transported to and from the childcare facility.

This will require the oversight of compliance of the following EEC and RMV regulations:

  • all Driver’s 7D licensing requirements compliances
  • Vehicle inspections requirements compliances
  • Vehicle safety Equipment required by RMV
  • Drivers Cori, SORI, and finger printing as required by EEC and RMV
  • Drivers training including Pediatric CPR and First Aid as required by EEC and RMV
  • Pre and Post Trip inspection and empty bus verification
  • Writing transportation policy, including emergency procedures, child guidance, car seat and seatbelt
  • Assure the transportation services supervision and full compliance with state and national code
  • Assist the Director with the following all transportation related duties, transportation billing, children records, driver schedule, transportation monthly meeting, driver’s trainings, evacuation drills, emergency drills, inclement weather cancelations, substitute drivers, notices to parents, client’s transportation services termination policy enforcement, record keeping, transportation audits.
  • Prepare route schedule and serve as homebased emergency respond for drivers and clients.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director with all daily task according to schedules and priorities, including financial statements, productivity, enrollment, program goals and corrective plans.
  • Provide support for daily activities including reviewing budgets; staff and Educator recruitment efforts, managing calendars, tracking expenses and staff and Educator’s payroll.
  • Greet visitors, answer questions, arrange staff and Educators meetings and perform other daily customer service task to ensure the program state policies and regulation are adhere to.
  • Manage financial activities together with the Director including reviewing budgets, overseeing expenses, planning fundraising events and establishing financial goals for the program.
  • Perform general duties including reading emails and printing incoming faxes, making and receiving phone calls, filling documents, managing database systems, and overseeing office activities.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, plus minimum of three years relevant work
  • Leadership experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to problem solve and make decisions independently
  • General computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft office and Excel application
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Obtain a 7D Driver’s license
  • RMV 7D Train the Trainer
  • English/Spanish required
