We currently have ONE opening for a ROCK STAR sales consultant in our growing furniture store. We recently doubled the size of our showroom and are the number one custom furniture store in Houston.

But this is NOT an ordinary furniture sales job. In our store, you won’t be just another order taker. You will be a PROBLEM SOLVER and a COLLABORATOR, navigating clients through the creative process of designing spaces in their homes.

A Sales Professional must:

  • Immerse him/herself in product knowledge and have a thorough understanding of all of our offerings.
  • Develop and nurture leads from all sources including website, phone calls, referrals, and store traffic.
  • Work with prospects throughout the entire journey including lead, appointment, in-store visit, house call, design process, quote, follow-up, closing the sale, and post-closing.
  • Take initiative and confidently drive the interaction with every customer in the showroom, in clients’ homes, and by phone and zoom.
  • Exceed customers’ expectations in helping them bring their vision for their home to life.
  • Enthusiastically participate in our event-focused marketing to maximize these unique selling opportunities.

Compensation + Benefits:

  • Compensation includes salary draw plus commission, a monthly personal goal bonus, and a year-end goal bonus (compensation range for a top-performing sales professional is $100-$135K+).

Scheduling + Location

  • 5-day work week; store hours are Monday-Saturday 10 AM-6 PM.
  • Closed Sunday and no late nights!
  • Rotating schedule with the option to have at least one Monday off per month and one Saturday off per quarter
  • NOTE: Saturdays are our store’s busiest days, and some holidays like Memorial Day and Labor Day are some of the busiest in our industry. As you’re working to grow your business, you’ll be expected to work those potentially lucrative days.
  • Full-time position, on-site in Houston, TX (central location near downtown and Memorial Park)

About Us

We're Kim and Steve. In 2001, our Houston home–and everything in it–was destroyed by a tropical storm and flood. We had to completely start over, but that ending led to an unexpected beginning.

While searching for quality, hand-crafted, made-in-the-USA furniture, we discovered American-made Amish furniture. We were blown away by the superior quality and craftsmanship, so much so that in 2006, we opened our very own store: The Amish Craftsman.

We are a family-owned retail store selling handmade, solid wood furniture built by the Amish and upholstery made in the USA. But we aren’t a typical furniture store–and this is not a typical furniture sales job. We don’t believe in transactional sales. We build dedicated, long-term relationships with our customers, starting from their very first point of contact with us, whatever that might be.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
