Production Worker/Technician (All Shifts)
Job description
Effective 1/02/22, the starting rate of pay will increase to:
- 1st Shift: $15.50 per hour
- 2nd Shift: $16.25 per hour
- 3rd Shift: $17.00 per hour
EXAMPLES OF SHIFT SCHEDULES:
- First Shift: Monday - Friday (6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)
- Second Shift: Monday - Friday (2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.)
- Third Shift: Sunday - Thursday (10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)
Weekend Shift (Sunday, Friday, and Saturday - 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.): When applying for this particular job/schedule, you must complete the Availability section of the application process, reflecting the stated work schedule. Otherwise, the Human Resources Department will not be able to consider you for these positions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Works anywhere in the plant, as needed.
- Performs work as directed by supervision.
- Keeps the work area clean and organized.
- Moves glass from one rack to another to prepare for shipment.
- May spray powder between the panels of glass.
- Repeats the process until the rack is full.
- Secures the glass with binding, honeycomb strips, and corner boards.
- Work elsewhere as directed by supervision.
- Reads and comprehends safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals, along with other similar documents.
- Requires the need to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Trims the excess vinyl off units from clave racks and placed on the inspection lines
- Produces a quality product in a timely manner.
- Wears all the required personal protective equipment for the specific job.
- Works as a Cardinal team member, not a specific department member.

- Expected to handle glass up to 50 pounds and any glass over 50 pounds, requires at least two people working together.
- Requires standing all day.
- Requires the ability to read a tape measure to 16ths.
- Prior production work in a manufacturing plant preferred.
