SUMMARY


The Production Scheduler and Planner plans, coordinates, provides analytical feedback, and otherwise manages the flow of finished products through the production and warehousing cycle to best support customer needs and the divisional directives. This position interfaces with the manufacturing, purchasing, and warehousing teams under the direction of the Director of Operations.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Takes ownership of all production planning related processes and procedure documentation.
  • Work with Plant, Warehousing, and Purchasing management to plan and coordinate production schedules.
  • Define, review and report on plant capacities and constraints.
  • Create, maintain, and report on schedule compliance
  • Provide feedback to Purchasing teams on anticipated production trends
  • Monitor workflow and schedules to ensure on time delivery to customers
  • Coordinate with Director of Operations and Plant management to develop and maintain scheduling parameters.
  • Develop and maintain effective scheduling processes to achieve divisional objectives.
  • Develop and maintain informational resources for manufacturing teams in the interest of continual improvement
  • Communicate at large with CS supervisor production schedule expectations
  • Travel as needed to support the development of functional rapport with management team
  • Travel as need to support the development and understanding of scheduling parameters at production plants.

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to meet and accomplish the following.

Education

  • Minimum high-school diploma
  • Preferred: Bachelors degree in Supply chain management, business management, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in supply chain management or related field.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in Production Scheduling and planning.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Be able to produce results with minimal direct supervision.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications
  • Exceptional knowledge of and ability to leverage ERP and MRP systems to support directives
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • High energy and drive to embrace challenges and continuous improvement
  • The ability to communicate exceptionally with all levels of the organization.
  • The ability to create informational tools and reports to improve access, transparency, and effectiveness across the division
