The production planning analyst will create a detailed master production schedule (MPS) to meet customer demand requirements while minimizing inventory investment and maximizing capacity utilization and productivity. This position will continually improve the production planning and scheduling process and function.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Utilizes Epicor (ERP system) to release production orders, address MPS and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) exception messages, review and maintain master data as appropriate to ensure system accuracy.
• Converts planned orders into production orders to meet the master schedule.
• Aligns the master production schedule with known levels of capacity.
• Makes recommendations on changes to work center availability, utilization and rates.
• Reviews assembly summaries and takes appropriate actions to re-plan shortages and disposition excess materials.
• Participates in the monthly supply meeting, scheduling inventory operations & planning (SIOP) process as well as the weekly schedule attainment process.
• Analyzes demand for improvements with emphasis on the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rated orders.
• Adhoc analysis of demand and inventory as it relates to the MPS/MRP and schedule attainment.

General Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or equivalent amount of work experience.
• Minimum 3 years ERP/MRP experience

• Experience in data mining and analysis (Excel & Access)
• Strong communication and team skills
• APICS Certification Preferred
