This position is for a New Jersey unit of Mettler-Toledo named Troemner. We are located about 15 miles from Philadelphia in Thorofare, NJ. Mettler-Toledo acquired Troemner in 2016. Since 1840, Troemner has long legacy of excellence to offer our employees and customers. Our weights are manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility using the finest materials and equipment available. We provide unmatched measurements and metrological analysis. In addition to weights and calibration services, we also manufacture a full line of laboratory equipment including shakers, hotplates, and vortex mixers.
Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Would you like to be a key member of our Supply Chain Management team? Apply for Troemner's Production Planner role! The Production Planner will analyze Troemner's product order flow, inventory stock, and master data to ensure our production team is maximizing their time and current materials to satisfy customer needs. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Convert Planned Orders into Production Orders, and release those while meeting first confirmed delivery dates and maintaining a balanced schedule
- Analyzing SAP MRP exception messages to react to changing material requirements (quantity, requested availability dates). Delay or expedite production if necessary.
- Proactive management of past due production orders, including providing detailed information to PO Order Management and other disciplines if needed.
- Update BOM details accurately as needed during the change order process, and sending expedite requests to Purchasing and Fabrication Planning.
- Track supply and stock situation; take corrective actions if necessary, and provide suitable information to internal customers
- Record and analyze reasons for delayed production orders to enable continuous improvement actions
- Other duties may be assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor or Associate degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in production scheduling, purchasing, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
