We are seeking an ambitious, experienced Production Manager for our manufacturing operations located in Cullman, Alabama.
Responsibilities
Production Manager
The production manager bears the corporate responsibility for managing the plant departments that report to them. They are responsible for the management, planning, organisation, coordination and controlling in the areas of personnel, production, quality assurance (except QM personnel), safety as well as the implementation of the REHAU Rules and Procedures in conjunction with the REHAU Performance System. The production manager assumes the entrepreneurial duties assigned to them. In certain cases they deputise for the plant manager for tasks and entrepreneurial duties to the agreed extent.
Job responsibilities for the Production Manager will include:
Responsible for adherence to the REHAU principles and guideline- Planning measures for the training, specialist instruction or further training of the REHAU employees in the respective plant department
- Recognizing and developing the continuous commitment of the employees for improvement suggestions
- Ensuring production in line with the master data and on time of the appropriate quality and escalation to the specialist departments where necessary
- Monitoring the optimum capacity utilisation and use of resources
- Responsible for the commissioning of new production equipment and processes
- Arranging and monitoring improvements and rationalisation measures as well as checking the effectiveness of the measures initiated
- Responsible for adherence to the requirements from the REHAU Quality management system (part of the RRP) and for fulfilling the customer requirements
- Committing and monitoring the employees in permanent quality improvement
- Arranging analyses and evaluations of quality non-conformities and complaints, incl. corrective and preventative measures
- Ensuring the ability of the plant to obtain certification according to the standards applicable for the plant and involvement in/supporting the audit measures concerning this
- Carrying out the obligations of the Company with regard to safety, i.e. health and safety at work and environmental protection
Improving the competitiveness (SPEM/CIP)- Responsible for the preservation of assets and modernization
- Conducting investment planning and approval
Qualifications
Production Manager
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing management of specified area, including manufacturing engineering, lean methods and processes, and supervision
- Proven leadership performance with solid technical leadership and familiarity of systems
- Strategic thinker with the ability to be hands-on in the operatio
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to read and carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to analyze problems involving production and notify proper people.
