The Aerospace Business Unit is responsible for Aerospace applications with a global responsibility for Sales, Manufacturing, Business development, Product and Process Development. Job Description:

• Shift: 3rd
• Operate a variety of set up and operate any machine in the Production Shaft Seal Shop.
• Perform any operation on a wide variety of aerospace and industrial special production work in various size lots for grinding and finishing operations.
• Work with machines involving milling, turning, boring, lapping, and abrasive machining procedures.
• Follow instructions verbally and written such as, prints, sketches, and process sheets. etc.
• Use precision measuring instruments to assure conformance to known standards.
• Perform operator capable lubrication and service as needed.
• Transport items and products.
• Make minor adjustments, set-ups performed by others.
• Programming and troubleshooting.
• Maintain records and paperwork.
• Ensure work areas are kept in a neat, safe, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Notify supervision of problems or difficulties.
• Refer to supervisor for clarification of priorities, objectives, or policies.

EQUIPMENT USED:

Including but not limited to CNC, Lathe, Milling, Lapping, Grinding Machines, Finishing Machines

Job Requirements:

• Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required
• All hourly employees will be part of the United Steelworkers Union (USW).
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Knowledge of measurement equipment such as gauges and micrometers.
• Machine programming knowledge a plus.
• Able to effectively work in an environment requiring considerable independent judgment, analysis, creativity, pragmatism, and self-motivation with customer focus.
• Available to work 3rd Shift.

Machining Professionals with prior experience working with CNC Machining, Lathes, Milling Machines, Finishing Machines, and Grinders, Machine Coding, Tool Off-Setting, knowledgeable of 5S and Lean Manufacturing, experience reading Blue Prints, utilizing Micrometers, Precision Dial Gauges, and other measuring tools are encouraged to apply!
