SUMMARY:
This position is culinary center cook.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner- Follow recipes and specifications
- Operate standard production kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Perform temperature checks during production period to ensure food is being held and prepared at correct temperatures.
- Follow sanitation requirements as per facility GMP’s and SOP’s.
- Coordinate cooking, prepping, etc. of all items on production schedule. Must be proficient in recipe procedure, measurement conformity, cooking techniques.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Culinary degree/certificate preferred
Certifications are preferred:
- HACCP certification
- Servsafe certification
- Food Safety
Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and measurements
- 2 years’ experience in professional cooking environment required.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English. Bilingual is a plus.

- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required Sit, walk, talk and hear
- Use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Be standing on feet majority of the workday in addition to walking back and forth.
- Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Lifting while turning side to side is sometimes necessary.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Position sometimes requires extended hours including evenings and/or weekends, travel to multiple work sites and occasional out-of-state travel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The work is performed primarily in a manufacturing kitchen environment
- Standing most of the workday is required.
- Work requires movement in and out of storerooms, near heavy machinery and freezers
- Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
