ProTek Recycling is hiring a Production Associate to help with all things related to getting inventory processed and out of the facility for down stream processing. This position will involve:

(Primarily) taking apart desktops, servers and other electronic devices using power
tools and hand tools.test, sort, and process various electronics (like LCD monitors)

• help prepare outgoing shipments for freight transportation.
• unload trucks including sorting, serializing the received equipment
• complete data destruction services including certificate creation, shredding drive and data overwriting

A strong candidate is one who is hardworking, independently, a problem solver, and self motivated. They should be able to take directions well and anticipate what needs to be done. This is a physical position and employees are expected to be able to lift, push, pull 75lbs through a work shift and to maintain quotas.

The shift schedule for this position will be 7am to 3pm on Mondays through Fridays.

Pay starts at $15/hr.

Preferred background/interests: (not required)

• General knowledge or an interesting in learning about a variety computer equipment
• Experience identifying base metals
• Experience (past field or hobbies) working in production, assembly, repair or manufacturing
• Skilled with hand and power tools
• Experience with materials handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc)
