Background

Berkshire Busk! Is a 10-weekend summer event celebrating its third year in Great
Barrington, MA. At Berkshire Busk!, street performers (buskers) perform in designated areas in the early evenings of Friday and Saturday. The locations span one end of downtown to the other, where performers–from musicians to dancers, magicians, aerialists, professional street performers and more–play outdoors for tips.

On Saturday evenings, Berkshire Busk! Hosts our “Railroad Street Saturday Nights” in which we have two “main stages” with some of our high-draw acts as well as a night market with local artisan vendors.

Position Description

We are looking for Production Assistants to join us on Fridays & Saturdays to make our festival come alive! Production Assistants will report to the Festival’s Production
Manager and General Manager. Tasks will include setup/takedown of festival sandwich boards, decorations, handing out surveys, working our information table and interacting with attendees/performers to ensure the festival runs smoothly. You’ll also assist with setting up performer locations, helping to move equipment, set up cables and help with last minute tasks on demand.

Requirements
● 16 years old or older
● Outgoing and able to work with a small, close-knit team
● Able to walk around downtown Great Barrington many times in one evening
● Able to lift ~20 lbs
● Must be available to be in-person in Great Barrington for 10 weekends on Friday and

Saturday nights, from approximately 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM – June 30-Sep-3. Since this is summer position only, it is assumed you will be available for each of these dates, and there is no “time off” except for emergencies.

Compensation
Begins at $16/hr with scaling based on experience.
