Position Summary

The Project Specialist position is an integral part of design, development, and manufacturing operation. Theposition utilizes a combination of project management skills, business acumen, and the ability to work through every aspect ofa project from conception to installation. Critical thinking and attention to detail are major components of this positionbecause your success will directly affect the overall success of each project. The position offers the opportunity to step into thecommercial retail design world and work with customers locally, nationally, and even internationally in some instances.

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for communication to Sales for on-time delivery of product sold to account(s)
  • Responsible for determining/confirming the full scope of work for a Project
  • Estimate and quote projects per salesperson and customer specifications
  • Obtain/generate all required documentation needed to fulfill the requirements of the Scope of Work. This may include drawings, BOMs within Sage or other documentation.
  • Release resource requirements to both Logistics Manager (for procurement) and the Production Supervisor (for internally produced jobs), and to continuously liaise with both personnel to provide updates on project schedules and timelines.
  • Interface with Production Supervisor on all Production issues.
  • Interface with Accounts Receivable to ensure accuracy of invoices.
  • Interface with Logistics Manager on all logistics issues.
  • Coordinate with the customer liaison on all store information, delivery date, and installation information
  • Check daily photos to ensure that all items are installed correctly per the plan and report submitted by installer
  • Over-see the process of the Initial install of the product, returns and any special projects for account(s)
  • Help the team to maintain project goals and accomplishments
  • Review overheads and elevation schematics
Additional Responsibilities

  • Due to small office setting, individual must be willing to aid the company in other functions when required.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
  • Up to 25% travel may be required
Knowledge and Skill Requirement

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or bachelors degree, preferred
  • Two or more years project management experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics, preferred
  • Salesforce experience, preferred
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
