Description:

DroneUp is seeking a Product Manager - Inventory Management System who will own our DroneUp compliance and product validation along with inventory management software product lines. This role will be responsible for working closely with a cross functional team of stakeholders, end-users, engineers, UX designers, and product leaders to understand the problems to solve, inform the product vision, and define requirements for the product team. The Product Manager will gain a deep understanding of the customer experience and identify and fill product gaps by generating solutions that improve the experience and help increase market share for DroneUp.


Responsibilities

  • Own the development of the denial and approval process when handling products that must meet regulatory compliance and dimensional or volumetric requirements for drone delivery
  • Research and develop dashboard and portals necessary for internal and external stakeholders to accomplish day to day needs
  • Manage unique inventory management and ingestion process per customer requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth
  • Define the product goals and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and company strategy
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams
  • Follow market trends to determine new or enhanced product capabilities that positively impact customer experience
  • Support the product requirements, user flows, experiences, and designs
  • Create and communicate product requirements to developers, designers, and stakeholders
  • Define goals for each sprint and release
  • Create and anticipate new product backlog items based on business needs, maintaining acceptance criteria and defined business value, and translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Create, maintain, prioritize, and sequence the product backlog based on business value for each sprint
  • Monitor sprints and evaluate results
  • Launch features within budget and on schedule
  • Support development team clarifications and end user support request
  • Align internal and external stakeholders on product vision, roadmap, and critical product development milestones and provide communication to wider business areas as needed
  • Balance the priorities of a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Provide transparency and recommendations on project trade-offs, understanding, and coordinating dependencies across multiple teams with competing priorities
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Strategy, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in a product manager role or similar role within a product management team
  • Strong understanding of data ingestion
  • Ability to handle uncertainty and complexity and able to operate in an environment with rapid change
  • Comfortable communicating with a broad range of stakeholders from executive leadership to engineers and marketers
  • Experience coordinating and leading multiple projects or work streams simultaneously, executing and managing requirements, reviewing deliverables for quality and consistency
  • Strong passion for exploring and understanding customer needs
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles
  • Experience with Agile product development
  • Experience managing product requirements and release deliverables in JIRA
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, leadership, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Part 107 certification and in-depth knowledge of the drone industry a plus
