Summary:
The Product Manager develops technology offerings by identifying potential products or programs to create or aggregate from both company-built and 3rd party offerings; conducts market research; generates defined product requirements based on customer interaction; determines specifications, production timetables, pricing and time-integrated plans for product introduction; develops market penetration strategies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilites:
  • Build product roadmap for other proprietary software and technology offerings, such as IoT devices.
  • Drive the vision and execution of company product, tracking overall market and competitive dynamics
  • Act as an intermediary between operations/business requirements and engineering, advocating for the product internally
  • Prevent roadblocks across teams to meet quality standards, project deadlines, and business objectives
  • Understand what user needs and work across departments to bring product to life, communicating the voice of the customer
  • Establish and lead the implementation of a complete customer-facing temperature-controlled ecosystem offering for life sciences logistics, including fleet management software, IoT devices, physical product, global facilities, and expert staff.
  • Manage the long-term road map, involving sales, marketing, implementation, clients, prospects, partners, and other groups
  • Recommend product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, marketing, business, or related field
  • Two (2) years of product management experience
  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams in an environment with a regular cadence of feature releases
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Demonstrated success in defining and launching software and technology products
  • Experience working with Voice of Customer or other requirements gathering process is required
  • Superior presentation, communication (written and oral) and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed on assignments
  • Ability to work on moderately complex projects with wide-ranging levels of detail and time frame, from daily tasks to strategic company-evolving efforts taking years to complete
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with international markets
  • Experience with fleet management software and Internet of Things platforms

  • Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.
  • Must be flexible regarding working hours. Must be able to work evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to travel, nationally and internationally, up to 25% of the time.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to executive non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
