Job description
Under general supervision, responsible for managing the development milestones for assigned brands from prototype phase through sales sample delivery.
Monitor/Track all design and prototype development from design handoff to color kits.
Collaborate on the commercialization of technical drawings from prototypes to color kits
Create and maintain Style Spec Sheets and communicate with all manufacturers
Maintain and monitor design development calendar and licensor calendar
Review technical F&F information from Quality Control, submit F&F to manufacturers, and discuss any technical issues
Review CAD drawings; Approve or reject as appropriate; Work with manufacturers and Quality Control to resolve any issues identified
Request and maintain all technical/dimensional information for each style relating to construction and composition
Review tooled samples with Quality Control and Design Development Director
Maintain photo records of all prototypes
Maintain sizing and material records for each style for catalog and Quality Control testing in Italy
Work with Design Director on color choices, color code, and name maintenance.
Maintain wholesale pricing data
Collaborate with production regarding materials, components, and scheduling capacities
Collaborate with Supply Chain department for vendor assignment, pricing analysis, materials, components, and scheduling capacities
Research, source, and recommend new materials and techniques
Maintain open communication with Brand and Design teams
Maintain daily communication with all vendors pertaining to progress of designs and prototypes
Communicate with assigned licensor pertaining to contractual product review/approvals.
Perform all other duties as assigned
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
4+ years in product development experience required.
Knowledge of eyewear industry or experience in fashion accessory field is preferred
Excellent project management skills and experience managing large projects.
Solid working knowledge of MS Office, Word and Excel
Strong analytical skills required
Ability to work with individuals on a global level
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organization skills, detail oriented and ability to multitask
Flexible and able to change priorities and direction quickly and effectively
Ability to travel domestic and international

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets.
