We're Tosoh Quartz, Inc., the world's leading manufacturer of quartz glassware for the semiconductor industry, and we’re looking for a Product Development Engineer II.

Responsibilities:
- Developing and designing a product/product family. Ensuring production procedures/processes efficiently utilize materials and personnel. Testing finished product for quality purposes and recommends changes to product specifications as necessary. Interfacing with internal and external customers to determine and to apply technical solutions. Acting as technical expert for internal and external customers
- Reviewing blueprints, plans and other customer documentation to determine product manufacturability and develop and prepare cost effective manufacturing process
- Providing technical services to customers regarding manufacturability of proposed new designs
- Design and perform engineering studies, test and experiments for products/processes

Requirements:
- Experience of looking at production issues, finding out root causes and suggesting solutions
- Additional experience of working on shop floor optimization and efficiency
- Further experience of looking at new technologies, such as automation, to improve process efficiency
- The ability to use Solidworks, Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook
- The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- A problem identifier and a problem solver
- Able to identify and prioritize projects for success
- An engineer who enjoys making their own path within the guidelines of the company goals.
A BS degree in Engineering or equivalent. 2-4 years of experience in engineering or technician experience in similar capacity. Good understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
The Package:
- Basic salary: $77,900 - $94,549 per annum depending on experience
