PRODUCE MANAGER

Gristedes and D’Agostino’s, the largest and most iconic grocery stores in New York, owned by family-based business, Red Apple Group, is looking for Produce Managers to oversee our daily operations and meet store goals while providing excellent customer service.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Oversees all daily operations of the Produce Department.
• Ensure produce quality, freshness and quantity standards are met.
• Supervise all activities in Department including product placement, rotation, and displays to achieve customer service, profit and sales objectives.
• Oversee cleanliness and adhere to Company standards. Assure trash is removed from floor and properly handled.
• Supervise the receiving of all produce and ensure proper paperwork is completed.
• Assist in the training, coaching and performance management of employees to ensure excellent customer service.
• Perform all duties assigned by upper management.
• Provides feedback to Store Manager.
• Respond to inquiries and complaints from customers.
• Create positive work environment.

REQUIREMENT/SKILLS:

• Excellent leadership/interpersonal skills
• Strong written/organizational skills
• High School or equivalent
• Ability to work flexible shifts, as required, (day, evening, weekend, holidays)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
