ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide customer service and stock area assigned typically all grocery departments or hardware/value departments.

• Greet customers and ask if they need assistance.

• Know where products are in the store, including the grocery side and hardware/value side.

• Stock cases at the start of the day

• Keep displays stocked throughout your shift

• Inspect produce for damage

• Help customers in your department

• Keep your workplace clean and organized

• Assist in order as requested by the manager.

• Receive, process, and sort incoming stock deliveries safely.

• Be forklift certified and able to unload trucks without supervision.

• Transport items to the sales floor after sorting to ensure the sufficient quantity has been delivered.

• Ensure that any excess goods are placed in the storage room

• Ensure all perishable items are properly stored in a timely manner to comply with safe food temperatures.

• Stock shelves in areas assigned during the shift

• Ensure that no damaged or expired items are on store shelves

• Assist in the creation of displays

• Communicate with other employees to ensure top-quality work

• Maintain an orderly and safe workplace for staff and customers

• Use proper safety procedures when lifting, opening items, identifying hazards, etc.

• Ensure any tags or signs moved during stocking are placed back in the proper spot.

• Be able to substitute in other positions for absent coworkers.

• To perform any other legal and ethical tasks as requested by the supervisor or other member of management.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $11.50 per hour
