Procurement Analyst work for businesses to procure various materials for the company’s products. They’ll spend time researching and finding suppliers that produce quality items within the business’ budget. Procurement Analyst are typically given key business criteria and must ensure that all the products follow this criteria and specification list.

Responsibilities
- Identify suppliers of goods and services
- Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
- Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods
- Create purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and orders
- Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered
- Monitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positive
- Meet with the legal department to ensure any contractual obligations are favorable to the company
- Work closely with the projects team to understand details of procurement requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
A successful Procurement Specialist has certain prerequisite skills and qualifications, which include:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with users, staff, and management.
- Project management: The ability to plan, delegate and evaluate progress toward goals is necessary for managing these projects.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills.
- Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered
- Ability to add, maintain, and track inventory within the company’s asset management system.
- Work in IT Service Desk/Help Desk environment to track all requests and or issues.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport building
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and rapidly growing business.
- Bachelor’s degree, or work-related experience.
